Lil Nas X ended Pride Month this year with some unexpected news. On the last day of the month Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, tweets a cryptic message that discloses the nature of his sexuality.
The tweet encourages Nas fans to listen to “C7osure(You Like)” a song from his new debut EP “7” before the month ends.
“C7osure(You Like)” describes someone telling their loved ones that it is time to grow and the worries can no longer hold them back. In the song’s lyrics, Lil Nas X sings, “Ain’t no more actin’, man that forecast say I should just let me grow” continues to say, “Pack my past up in the back, oh, let my future take hold, this is what I gotta do, can’t be regrettin’ when I’m old.”
He follows up with a tweet of his artwork zoomed in and the caption “deadass thought I made it obvious”.
With the news of his announcement, Lil Nas X wants the world to know that “Old Town Road” was only about riding horses.
