Rihanna, also known as Bad Gyal Riri, graced the cover of British Vogue for the magazines May 2020 issue. Accompanied with her edgy cover photos, she opened up in an interview about music, Fenty Beauty and future plans of eventually starting a family.

As a self sufficient woman, we know that Rihanna can hold her own in all categories. It is rare that we hear Rihanna speak on relationships and family but this interview went into uncharted territories that gave us an inside look on our favorite Caribbean queen. Since turning 32, Rihanna has an increased desire to be a mother fairly soon.

ā€œSince I turned 32, Iā€™m realizing life is really short,ā€ she told British Vogue. ā€œYou donā€™t have a lot of time to tolerate sā€”t, you know? You put so much on your plate. ā€¦ And Iā€™m overwhelmed too much. Whatā€™s happening now is that Iā€™m going back to black and white. My grey area is shutting down.ā€ Rihanna has always had a dominant and carefree attitude but time has been her biggest teacher when it comes to what is important.

Things are going great for the artists right now. Fans are anticipating a new album from Rihanna after being off the music scene for a few years. Fenty beauty is expanding and gracing the faces of makeup lovers everywhere, so what will life look like for her in the next 10 years? ā€œTen years? Iā€™ll be 42! Iā€™ll beĀ ancient, Iā€™ll have kids ā€“ three or four of ā€™em.ā€

We can expect to see the Fenty family grow, even if she has to raise her children on her own. ā€œI feel like society makes me want to feel like, ā€˜Oh, you got it wrongā€¦ā€™ They diminish you as a mother if thereā€™s not a dad in your kidsā€™ lives,ā€ she explained. ā€œBut the only thing that matters is happiness, thatā€™s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. Thatā€™s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.ā€

We are looking forward to seeing Rihanna more on the frontline as 2020 progresses. Read the full British Vogue interview here.
