“Savage” Debuts at #1 on Billboard Hot 100!

Megan Thee Stallion hit remix of the song “Savage” featuring fellow Houston native Beyoncé, officially reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts! This marks Megan’s first Hot 100 accomplishment, and Beyoncé’s seventh. The song was previously at #5, creeped it way to #2 right after “Say So” by Doja Cat, and then jumped to #1 after this weekend.

According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, “Savage” climbed 55% to 30,000 downloads sold as of last week. The hit remix song sales consisted of both physical and digital products such as autographed CDs and vinyl copies on Megan’s website. So far, “Savage” has 30.5 million US streams as of May 21st, and 53.7 million audience impressions as of the week ending May 24th.

Beyoncé last #1 remix song “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran debuted in 2017. She is now the 21st artist with at least seven Hot 100 #1s. Megan and Beyoncé became the seventh collaboration between two solo women to hit #1 on the Hot 100s. Congratulations to both of these ladies!
