Solo Lucci is an Atlanta rapper, born and raised in Texas, who you might know from his track “Whip It” released in 2015. You might also know Solo Lucci from Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood where he makes appearances quite frequently. He recently sat down with The Jawn Joi to talk about some juicy topics such as his new single, fatherhood, and some Love and Hip Hop drama.

Solo Lucci talks about how he grew up in a very religious-based home where his family went to church every Sunday, but as he grew up he veered away from the church for personal reasons. “It’s crazy because the same kids you were going to church with were the same kids you were in the streets with.” said the rapper. “Every kid has their personality when they are around their elders then you have another personality when you are with your peers.”

When talking about his songwriting craft and his inspiration behind his songs, he mentions how it is important to pay homage to those artists who came before you before entering the rap game. His single “Cash Money” was loosely based off of his admiration of Lil Wayne and his influence on the culture and everything he has done for the community.

Solo Lucci than talks about how he is venturing out into new businesses from a new clothing line, a possible a sex toy shop, and even his own dating show “I Love Lucci” on the way! We are looking forward to everything this artist has on the way.
