No one could forget the sense of proudness we all felt while watching some of our favorite celebs walk the streets of Tyler Perry’s first black owned film and television production studio. Tyler Perry Studios, which later opened doors for many up and coming actors, was one of the biggest highlights of 2020. This is not only an accomplishment for Perry, but for all entertainers in the black community. Since then, Perry has released two new series titled Sisters and The Oval, which both were filmed at his Atlanta based studio.

Before he could wrap up such a monumental year, Tyler Perry had one more goodie left to release. On Tuesday, Tyler Perry posted a teaser trailer for his upcoming Netflix thriller, A Fall from Grace.  “I’m so excited to share with you the teaser trailer for my new film called A Fall from Grace,” Perry commented under the clip on social media.

According to Black Film, Perry wrote, produced and directed the film which marks his first project with Netflix. The Virginia based film follows Grace Waters (Crystal Fox) who’s trying to put the pieces of her life back together after her ex-husband weds his mistress and her son moves away. She finds happiness in a new love but to her surprise things changed for the worst. Her new husband turns her life upside down and her only way to escape him lands her in jail. As she awaits trial for his murder, Grace’s only opportunity for freedom is left in the hands of Jasmine Bryant (Bresha Webb), a public defender who has never tried a case.

The film will debut on Netflix on January 17, 2020 and we can’t wait to grab our popcorn to tune in!
