JaGurl TV Internship Program 2020

Our internship program is designed to expose students to the various aspects of Journalism where he/she has the option of being assigned to one of the following departments:

  • Digital Content Creation (Writing Articles and Social Media)
  • Marketing (Website Operation and Social Media Marketing)

The internship program is an unpaid opportunity for undergraduate students (second semester freshman, sophomore, junior, senior), seeking academic credits for the spring/fall semesters. You will gain excellent hands-on job experience in the Journalism industry with a Google certified news publication. 

This internship is ideal for students with a major focusing in:

  • Journalism
  • Communications
  • Marketing
  • Broadcasting/E-media

Requirements for 2020 Internship

The internship program is for undergraduate students who maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Students will be expected to provide a copy of their transcripts issued by their college or university’s Registrar’s Office upon request, as mentioned below.

Candidates must complete an online application, provided by JaGurl TV. After completing the online application, candidate must send resume/CVcover letter, college transcript, and (1) letter of recommendation to [email protected] with ‘Completed Application’ in the subject line before the application deadline in order to be considered for any available internship opportunity. Deadline for Spring 2020 application is January 24th, 2020. 

As part of the application process, JaGurl TV requires:

  1. A letter or recommendation (i.e professor, employer, mentor, etc.)
  2. A letter from the educational institution (on letterhead) indicating students eligibility and will receive academic credit(s)
  3. A copy of the student’s transcript (or proof of current GPA standing)
