The song that everyone’s been raving about from Nicki Minaj’s new album “Queen” was definitely Barbie Dreams. From calling out every rapper from Drake, 50 Cent, Lil Uzi, Meek Mill, and Young Thug, this song was played by many.
Her video came out tonight, and she’s showing off some BOMB outfits and amazing wigs from Arrogant (@arrogant_tae123), her new glam squad stylist. Throughout the video, she switches up her look many times.
The new video is mainly her, but you’ll notice puppets portraying different artists in the industry such as Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Tekashi 69.
Anyone who truly knows music, will notice that the inspiration for this video would be from the late great Biggie Smalls song “Dreams (a.k.a Just Playin’)”. From the actual instrumental to the theme of the music, this would truly be the female version.
In the old school track, Smalls mentions all of the beautiful women in the music industry that he wants to have sex with such as Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, members of TLC, Regina Belle and more. Just how in Minaj’s song, she talks about the “dreams of f*cking one of the little rappers”.
