Verzuz TV has announced their next battle to fans and it’s airing live on a very special day. John Legend and Alicia Keys will go head to head on Instagram Live for a special Juneteenth edition of the lockdown inspired live concert.
This lineup is a change of pace for Verzuz as these two singers will be facing off in a R&B piano battle of the decade. Other Verzuz matchups have included T-Pain vs. Lil Jon, Ludacris vs. Nelly, Teddy Riley vs. Babyface, most recently Kirk Franklin vs. Fred Hammond, and many more.
Since April 11, Verzuz was created by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland during the Covid-19 pandemic. The idea was to bring joy and entertainment to millions of hip-hop and R&B fans stuck indoors. Since its creation, it has drawn over 1.6 million followers to the Verzuz Instagram account.
The Verzuz Juneteenth celebration will air on June 19, 2020 at 8pm EST.
