South Philadelphia recording studio Obsidian Studios will host a celebratory giveaway to honor their successful first year in business and its expansion.

CEO and founder GTheShep (aka Shep) accredits his decade long experience on Philadelphia’s music scene to the success of his business.

Opened last year, a year that many businesses struggled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Obsidian Studios excelled.

“Obsidian Studios has created a safe space for artists to continue going to work during the pandemic,” written in the press release. “There are daily sanitation procedures to ensure all equipment is cleaned for each artist who records, there is a capacity limit which always maintains a safe number of people in the building, and temperatures are taken at the door.”

Not even through their first year of business, Obsidian Studios is branching out and expanding.

Obsidian is currently opening a second recording studio at the same location as their first one, referred to as ‘studio B.’ According to the press release, “It(Studio B) will offer all the same modern recording and audio technology as the first studio.” This studio will be routinely sanitized. Friendly staff members will be on standby to assist you.

To celebrate the opening of their second studio, Obsidian is hosting a 3-hour long giveaway. An additional hour will include a 1 free hour photo shooting with the in-house photographer, DayToDayChase.
