SZA has teamed up with some of the music industry’s biggest names to help shine a light on Sudan’s humanitarian crisis through a unique, star-powered fundraising event called Freedom for Sudan.
Freedom for Sudan is an online charity auction launching January 6–12, 2026, hosted on Galabid ; a digital platform where fans and supporters can bid on exclusive items and experiences to raise money for Sudanese civil society and grassroots organizations.
The initiative was launched in honor of Sudan’s 70th Independence Day with a bold mission:
Support the people of Sudan in their mission to end violence, exploitation, and rebuild their nation with a civilian-led government.
SZA is participating in Freedom for Sudan by auctioning a one-on-one hangout experience with a fan a rare and personalized opportunity that’s not only exciting for fans but also carries real impact. The auction item gives the winning bidder a chance to connect directly with the superstar while supporting a life-saving cause.
All funds raised will go to vetted Sudanese non-profits providing food assistance, medical care, emergency relief, and direct support to displaced families and communities.
