H.E.R.’s annual Lights On Festival will return to the Bay Area two years following it’s premiere in 2019.

On Sunday (June 27th), the “Slide” singer celebrated her 24th birthday. The birthday girl took to social media to share the exciting news about the return of her second annual Lights On Festival. The festival is named after her 2017 chart-topping single.

Other R&B stars will take the stage beside the talented vocalist such as; Bryson Tiller, Ari Lennox, Ty Dolla $ign, Keyshia Cole, Masego, Lucky Daye, Kianna Lede, Blxst, Maeta, Brianna Castro, Samaria, Maxx Moore, and Lorea.

The Light On Festival announcement came shortly after H.E.R. won Best R&B/Pop artist at the BET Awards 2021. During her speech, H.E.R spoke candidly about her love for R&B and celebrating the genre.

“When they say R&B is dead, R&B is not alive, it’s in everything,” says the singer. “…I’m here, and Chloe [Bailey] is here, and all these other artists that were nominated in this category are here, and we’re all championing R&B. And I’m so grateful to be a part of that list of amazing artists… I’m gonna continue to celebrate R&B.”

Join H.E.R. and various other stars as the usher in the new wave of R&B at The Lights On Festival. The two-day festival will take place on Sept. 18th at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California. Click here to purchase tickets.
