On the set of Lifetime’s six-part documentary series, “Surviving  R. Kelly,” crew and cast members were evacuated. All of this occurred when the series was about 20 minutes in when they received a phone call from an unidentifiable male stating that another unidentified person was in the crowd and would let off gunshots if the docu-series were showed. Everyone was then evacuated safely from New York’s NeueHouse Madison Square.

The Docu-series contained information about the life of the young woman that were and still are with R. Kelly. The series also covered multiple allegations of sexual abuse against Kelly along with mental and physical abuse that took place in his presence. It also discussed how Kelly was an alleged victim of child abuse along with his brothers that were in the film says Jamilah Lemieux.

Dream Kelly, the ex-wife of R. Kelly, was on the premises and she stated in an interview with Rolling Stone that the series would do amazing and this incident is a perfect example of how powerful the truth is. The series is set to be released January 3rd, and it isn’t something anyone would want to miss.
