Tasha Cobbs-Leonard is the First Female StAART Franchise Owner

GRAMMY Award-winning artist Tasha Cobbs-Leonard is a lover of the fashion industry. With successful brands like CurveAthletics and ELOQUII, Tasha obtains yet another business opportunity. She was recently named the first franchisee of The Athlete’s Foot (TAF) newest program that supports and represents African American entrepreneurs in the sneaker industry.

As a self-proclaimed sneaker head and existing lifestyle brand owner, Tasha Cobbs is now able to make her mark in the footwear industry as a StAART recipient. “Grateful is the word that comes to mind when I explore my feelings about my new venture with The Athlete’s Foot. I’m grateful that I have an opportunity tp be a leader an an example that black and brown girls need in order to believe they can be whatever they want to be.” She is currently looking for locations for her first franchise store in her hometown Greenville, SC.

The Strategic African American Retail Track (StAART) is a TAF initiative founded in 2020 that provides services and resources that are normally obstacles for African Americans entrepreneurs.
