Jill Scott partners with IHeartRadio to create, Jill Scott Presents: J.ill the Podcast. The podcast will amplify topics and discussions that cater to the Black woman’s experience in today’s society.
The GRAMMY award-winning artist took to Instagram to announce the news to her fans.
“Love Village, I want to introduce you to my latest project, Jill Scott presents J.Ill, a podcast in partnership with iHeartMedia.” she writes. “With my sister-friends @laiyasworld and @kindredthewife, we will have no-holds-barred conversations on topics around relationships, culture, health, art and everything else that comes with surviving and thriving as a Black woman in today’s world,” she said.
“Join me on November 18th and every Wednesday following for a dose of kitchen-table conversations,” she added.
In a statement, the singer further explains her intentions for her new podcast.
“J.ill the Podcast will spark unfiltered conversations by and for Black women who influence culture and uplift sisterhood,” Scott writes.
With all the challenges that 2020 has brought, Scott hopes that her podcast will allow her and her fans to stay “connected, entertained, and empowered.”
The show will emulate a talk show format. Scott will host the show with her two “sister-friends” Laiya St. Clair and Aja Graydon-Dantzler. The ladies will bring with them their personal and diverse perspectives regarding a variety of topics, such as relationships, culture, and career issues.
