Thursday (July 22), Whitney Houston‘s estate announced that “An Evening with Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert” will premiere at Harrah’s Las Vegas on Oct. 26th, 2021.

The concert will feature a hologram of the iconic singer performing with a live band, backup singers, and special effects. The concert will feature several of the singer’s hits, including “I Wanna Dance With Somebody and “I Will Always Love You.”

“In 2011, Whitney and I discussed her idea of an intimate, unplugged concert tour,” Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-late and the former manager says in a statement in Entertainment Weekly. “An Evening with Whitney is another chance for us to relive and celebrate the talent that we were so lucky to receive for more than three decades, and we’re excited to bring this cutting-edge- musical experience to the fans who supported the pop culture phenomenon that was Whitney Houston because they deserve nothing less.”

Years following the singer’s death in 2012, the legendary Queen of R&B remains a vital part of music. Last November, the star was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Although the icon has passed, her power lives on. CEO of Base Holograms Brian Becker considers the upcoming Whitney tour as a way for people to relive her magic.

“Whitney Houston was a talent beyond words and her influence and artist transcended all boundaries,” Becker says in a statement. “What we are creating here is a new theatrical experience designed to capture that magic.”
