Jennifer Lopez is the cover star on the February issue for People magazine. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the cover is boldly titled “Jennifer Lopez is in Love!” She happily opens up about her second chance at love with long time love interest, Ben Affleck.
Lopez and Affleck first dated from 2002 to 2004, but to many people’s surprise they called off their engagement. Jennifer thinks this is the right time for this love story to rekindle as it just makes sense. Jennifer’s music and film career is hotter than ever, her children Max and Emme are healthy and happy, and she is ready to let love back into her life. Lopez says, ”I feel like he’s at a place in his life where, just like how i feel about myself it’s been a journey of learning yourself and figuring yourself out. Getting to a place where you feel really good on your own and who you are so you can be in a happy healthy relationship “.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are both in a happy place in life right now “We both were like wow, we’re so happy and we don’t want any of that to come into play again. We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience. We’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things.” said Jennifer Lopez. She continued by saying “To see the person, the human being, the man that he is today, the father that he is today, the partner that he is. He is so everything I always knew he was and wanted to be .”
Lopez adds, “ It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance.” It has been more than a decade since the relationship ended. Lopez feels like this is faith and not everyone gets a second chance at true love. Jennifer claims “When you find somebody and you really, really love them you get a second chance at that? That is a really rare , precious, beautiful thing and we don’t take it for granted.”
Jennifer wants a future filled with love and happiness. “I think everybody just wants to be happy ; with somebody to go on the journey with and grow old with, and I feel good about that right now.” Jennifer is living her fairytale story with her true love.
