What better way to heal the world than through music? Super producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are doing just that!

The two have teamed up together to bring fun and entertainment to Instagram through their Live virtual hip hop battles, Verzuz.

They have matched together a list of producer and songwriter battles including The Dream vs. Sean Garrett, T-Pain vs Lil Jon, and more.

The an exclusive interview with CNN, they explained how during this time (being quarantine) is it important to have music, and the power it gives to heal. “Music has been around to help and heal. Me and Tim cam together and said, ‘You know what? Let’s start Verzuz on Live and give people some entertainment, give them some hope and also educate the. Because Verzuz is an educational celebration,” Swizz Beatz told CNN.

“It’s also about celebrating people behind the scenes,” Timbaland added, “like writers, and producers behind hits whose names are less recognized.”

In a time where the world is at a sit still, they zoned in on being a light during this dark time. “You’ve got to focus on the light. Don’t focus on the dark, when you focus on the dark everything goes dark.” stated Timbaland. Swizz Beatz add, “To stay in the darkness is very easy. Let’s do a couple of things that we know is going to make us smile. Call a loved one, check on somebody, surprise somebody, call somebody just to joke around, make yourself come up out of this darkness because the darkness is only what you make it.”
