Winnie Harlow Channels 80’s Movie Star for Barrow Campaign

Model Winnie Harlow transforms into an 80’s movie star for the Italian streetwear brand Barrow‘s first international campaign titled #BeYourself.

The brand embodies the characteristics of Gen-Z, with a range of bold, authentic, and unique clothing. The #BeYourself campaign will feature various social media influencers with unique styles and views and strong self-identity.

Shot by RAYSCOORRUPTEDMIND, Barrow’s new campaign drawls inspiration from two iconic movies, Ferries Bueller’s Day Off and The Breakfast Club. Shot in a colorful classroom, Supermodel Winnie Harlow channels iconic 80’s fashion, and hairstyles.

The visuals for the #BeYourself campaign revamps iconic 80’s styles represented in the movies. Dario and Guiseppe Daddato head the company. Federico Barengo, Valerio Coretti and Paolo Sarimari serves as partners for the brand.

Barrow’s Dario Daddato explains to Hypebeast that each member of the cast from their new spring collection “doesn’t try to fit into a mold to entertain the internet. He explains that each embodies “every personality that Barrow identifies with and highlights the ides of being unapologetically yourself.”

The stars photographed as classmates in the campaign each are wearing pieces from Spacesong Collection. Each piece highlighting their different bold personalities and styles. The collection is for both men and women with apparel in various bright neon colors and prints. The apparel features the brand logo, which hypebeast describes as “a fun and mischievous play on the smile emoji.”
